7 Sweet Red, White and Blue Desserts for July 4th

July 4th is right around the corner, and you know what that means! Parades, picnics, beach parties, fireworks and lots of fun! The Fourth of July is the ultimate kick-off for a fun in the sun summer. Like any day full of family, friends and parties here at PaulaDeen.com we put all the emphasis on the food. Since red, white and blue is the color theme of the day, we picked out some of Paula’s best dessert recipes to celebrate!

Never Fail Pound Cake is the perfect way to get your red, white, and blue into one dessert.  Serve it with some blueberries, strawberries, and whip cream.  The ultimate Independence Day dessert!

Strawberry Cream Pie – Creamy and sweet, this pie is irresistible. Garnish the top with blueberries and strawberries and it will look so pretty!

Easy Blueberry Skillet Cake  – A delicious coffee cake topped with juicy blueberries and a streusel topping.  It goes great with whip cream or vanilla ice cream.

Cherry Cream Cheese Pie – Don’t be intimidated by the word pie on this one, it is so easy to make. The bright red cherries really make this dessert pop!

Savannah Strawberry Tall Cake – This is the dessert to really wow your guests!  So tall and beautiful, it will really stand out on your party table.  Serve it on some blue paper plates to get the full color.

Lemon Berry Trifle – Trifles are a great dessert to serve a crowd.  They can be prepared ahead of time, are so easy to make, and they always look stunning.  This red, white, and blue trifle is sure to be a hit.

Jamie’s Coconut Cake  – Nothing is tastier or prettier than a coconut cake.  Serve this cake with mixed berries for an added festive touch.
